| THE TIE COLLECTION OF MIKE THOMAS of SWANSEA & NEATH |

| We have added several ties collected by the former Neath & Swansea favourite Mike Thomas. Mike played for Wales at Youth level and went on to play for Swansea for several seasons before moving on to Neath. Highlights of Mike's Swansea career include captaining the club to victory against the touring Wallabies in 1966 and scoring only try for the Whites in that match. In 1969 he transferred to Neath and went on to play in one of the finest back rows that Welsh rugby has ever seen together with Wilson Lauder & Dai Morris. Mike played in the first WRU cup winning side for Neath in 1972 and on his retirement he went on to coach the club and serve on the committee. To view this update please...... |
