DONATIONS TO THE MUSEUM
Building this on-line museum to celebrate the history of rugby football has been our passion for the last 20+ years. Donations of memorabilia help us to record the history of rugby football, the people who played and administered the game and the supporters that followed it. If you are thinking of making a donation to the museum and the collection is large and bulky, please contact us first by email or telephone so that we can assess how we can best support your generosity with the transportation of the collection. info@world-rugby-museum.com - Tel +44 1639 729000 If you are happy to send items directly without checking suitability first, please CLICK HERE for our physical address. BONDED by BLOOD POSTER - A big thank you to Jonathan Lawrie for the donation of this unusual Bonded by Blood New Zealand All Blacks poster.
Jonathan's family have links to the Leicester Tigers. Percy Lawrie (1888-1956) his great-granduncle, and Percy’s father came from Scotland and settled in Lutterworth running a coaching inn, hence why Percy then went on to play for Leicester Tigers. He thinks his other great-grand uncle, Harry, also played for the Tigers as did Percy’s son Gordon. We be keen to receive any photos or information relating to these players so that we can pass it on to Jonathan. - CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO ABOUT THIS ITEM |
