Local artist Haydn Ford has caricatures adorning the walls of nearly every rugby club in the area. Working from his studio in Alistair St, (just off Windsor Rd) Haydn worked to commissions and also published his art as collections in book form. We know of two publications that he published, both sporting collections. The first an extremely rare book on the 1948 Australian cricket touring team and the second a book of leading Welsh rugby caricatures. |

HEADS AND TAILS
| This is a booklet published in the 1950s which contains caricatures of Welsh rugby personalities, the proceeds of the booklet went towards the building of the YMCA in Neath, a stone's throw from the Gnoll. The introduction is by Billy Thomas MBE.

HAYDN FORD - ORIGINAL ART

We have the following original caricatures by Haydn in our collection. Many of
these were contained in the collection of the former Neath, Wales & British
Lions rugby player Rees Stephens. Rees was a great fan of Haydn, it is very
likely that he commissioned Haydn for the 'Heads and Tales publication'. We
purchased the majority of this collection at auction.
