BRITISH LIONS 1971 - DEREK QUINNELL No 6 JERSEY

BRITISH LIONS 1971 - DEREK QUINNELL No 6 JERSEY - A No 6 British Lions jersey that belonged to Derek Quinnell. The shirt is by Umbro supplied by Lillywhites of Picadilly Circus. Quinnell has the distinction of being capped by the Lions before he earned his Welsh Cap as a replacement against France in 1972. He played for the British Lions in the third test at Wellington where Carwyn James brought him in to 'look after' Sid Going on the blind side. The Lions won this test 13-3 to go into a 2-1 lead in the series. The fourth test was a draw game and so the 1971 Lions became the only British team ever to win a test series in New Zealand. The jersey has been previously framed and has a couple of light faded spots, Generally the condition is good with one or two small tears.
