1930 BRITISH LIONS - TOMMY JONES-DAVIES - No 10 JERSEY

BRITISH LIONS 1930 TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND JERSEY worn by TE 'Tommy' Jones-Davies. During this tour Tommy made 8 appearance scoring 8 tries and a dropped goal. Born in Nantgaredig in 1906 he attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School,  Carmarthen and later  studied the Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. During World War II he served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He played his club rugby for the United Hospitals, Llanelli and London Welsh and won four caps for Wales 1930-31.

The jersey is accompanied by a Canterbury v British Lions 1930 programme identifying TE Jones-Davies playing in a number 10 jersey. We believe the players on this tour retained the same player numbers for the complete tour.
