A 1953-54 NZ All Blacks jersey from the Geoff Beckingham collection. The jersey was sent back from New Zealand by Ron Hemi as a gift to Geoff who played in the Cardiff team that defeated the All Blacks. The All Blacks were not allowed to exchange jerseys following the Cardiff match and so Ron Hemi sent this jersey back from NZ following the tour. The jersey is almost certainly from one of the test matches in which Ron played No 14, the All Blacks would play in their squad numbers in the non-test games.

According to the letter the fern has been removed for washing and sewn back onto the jersey, there is no visible evidence of this. The letter talks mainly about rugby and It would seem the jersey was posted the day after the letter.
