BRITISH LIONS 1930 JERSEY worn by TE 'Tommy' Jones-Davies during the tour of New Zealand. During this tour Tommy scored 8 tries and a dropped goal. Born in Nantgaredig near Carmarthen in 1906 he attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and later  studied the Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. During World War II he served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He played his club rugby for the United Hospitals, Llanelli and London Welsh and won four caps for Wales 1930-31.

Accompanied by a Canterbury v British Lions 1930 programme identifying TE Jones-Davies playing in a number 10 jersey. We believe the players on this tour retained the same player numbers for the complete tour.

BRITISH LIONS 1968 1st TEST MATCH WORN RUGBY JERSEY No 10 - BARRY "THE KING" JOHN - A match worn British Lions jersey from the 1968 tour of South Africa. Barry John played 4 matches during this tour, he started the first test match and making his 2nd break of the game he was tackled by Jan Ellis breaking his collarbone, he missed the rest of the tour through this injury. The jersey has been signed Barry John 'Lions Tour 1971' for display purposes in a Cardiff night club. Barry John is most famous as a 1971 British Lion becoming a household name in New Zealand following his dazzling displays during the Lions test series win over the All Blacks. However this jersey is from the 1968 tour, The 1971 tour jerseys were manufactured by Umbro and supplied by Lillywhites of Picadilly Circus, the badges were also different - for 1971 the badges were sewn directly on to the shirt whereas in 1968 the badges were sewn onto a patch then onto the jersey. The jersey is size OSM, (approx 40" chest) by RW Forsyth.

BRITISH LIONS 1971 - DEREK QUINNELL No 6 JERSEY - A No 6 British Lions jersey that belonged to Derek Quinnell. The shirt is by Umbro supplied by Lillywhites of Picadilly Circus. Quinnell has the distinction of being capped by the Lions before he earned his Welsh Cap as a replacement against France in 1972. The Lions won this test 13-3 to go into a 2-1 lead in the series. The fourth test was a draw game and so the 1971 Lions became the only British team ever to win a test series in New Zealand. The jersey has been previously framed and has a couple of light faded spots, Generally the condition is good with one or two small tears.
