All Blacks to British Isles 1905 - "The Complete Rugby Footballer" by Gallaher & Stead |
|||
A general rugby book with a large section on the 1905 All Blacks tour. Written by the captain and vice-captain of the 1905 All Blacks. A wonderful look at rugby football around the turn of the century and the tactics that made the 'Originals' the team to beat. A look at the illustrations detailing the contents of this book shows how deep these pioneers of rugby football go into explaining the game. It is not known if this book was ever published with a dust wrapper but it is very unlikely. There is a modern ex-libris sticker to the inside cover and a previous owner has neatly written his name quite small on the opposite page. Overall the book is in very good condition with light wear to the edges. |
