"A People's Game" by Geoffrey Moorhouse 

The official history of Rugby League, originally published in the Centenary Year, 1995, this is an updated edition published in 1996. A fantastic and well written definitive history of Rugby League. A secondhand paperback in good condition. 

"At the George and Other Essays on Rugby League" by Geoffrey Moorhouse 

An interesting selection of Rugby League stories, 'the George' relates to the George Hotel in Hudersfield where the sport was born. Other essays include 'class of '46 and 'Sydneyside'. A secondhand hardback back in good condition.

A New coach, a new belief.... Tony Smith's first series in charge and Great Britain responded with a thumping three nil whitewash of New Zealand.
As England - many of the squad of players will go into next year's World Cup Down Under with genuine hopes of glory after their first series success in 14 years!
Led again by the immense Jamie Peacock and energised by pocket rocket Rob Burrow Great Britain forged ahead with a narrow victory in the opening Test at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium. A week later in Hull, inspired by the genius of Leon Pryce, Peacock's Pride of Lions demolished the Kiwis - scoring an unanswered 44 points in one of the best performances ever seen on home soil!
With the series won Smith made changes for the final Test at Wigan's JJB Stadium but after a slow start his charges stormed back, scoring five tries to win 28-22.
